 Photo Restoration & Retouching If you have treasured family photos you can rest assured that the Creative Imaging Group staff will personally restore and preserve your memories for future generations without harming the original photos. Photo restoration and retouching requires time, care and attention to detail. With our state of the art digital tools including Adobe Photoshop, our experts repair numerous forms of damage, including tears, cracks, discoloration, water damage, red eye, exposure and backlighting. All work is done in our Beverly location and never sent offsite. - Colorize a Black & White image
- Add, change or remove an object or background
- Repair faded pictures
- A typical photo restorationincludes scanning or shooting a photo of the original photograph.
- Adjustments are then made to the digital file to adjust contrast, sharpness, & color levels.
- Scratches and imperfections are removed.
- Missing and damaged areas are repaired.

Minor restorations include adjustment of the brightness or contrast to correct fading or darkening of the picture, minor color shifts due to aging, or the removal of minor scratches, stains and spots. Minor restorations also include removal of slight cracks, creases, or tears in the edge of the photograph, but does not include repairs to major areas of the photograph.

- Remove minor scratches stains and dust
- Remove "red eye"
- Repair minor damaged edges, creases, cracks, and tears
- Repair slight fading or discoloration

In addition to the attributes of minor restoration, Moderate restoration and retouching includes removing moderate stains, scratches, water damage, and tears, but not the major rebuilding extensively damaged areas of the photograph. It includes digitally retouching the brightness, contrast, and color levels of the photo as well as the hue. The repair of moderate creases and partially torn photos are repaired with the Moderate Restoration service.
- Digital Scanning, 600-1,200 dpi or digital shoot
- Repair moderate discoloration or fading
- Repair moderately damaged or missing edges
- Remove moderate stains, scratches or tears
- Repair creases and partially torn photos - (with no missing pieces)
- Remove, add or modify background
- Remove or add person to photograph
